Hello everyone. We have just come back from an intensive few days painting, based at the Lodore Falls Hotel by Derwentwater and using the landscape within the immediate vicinity from which to work, both inside and out. The next dates for a similar course will be 10-15 May 2020, which we find a good time with longer daylight hours and hopefully good weather, although the weather never seems to stop us! The course will be run on the relaxed lines of a house party, with an indoor studio available for working up ideas sourced from the landscape around us. We will be outside as much as the weather permits but it is good to have a base to leave work and to which to return in order to work on paintings and drawings as well as experiment with painting techniques. I will send out a little “pre course homework” a few weeks prior to the course start date, which is of course optional but which might help and give you some food for thought in advance of arrival.

We meet for the course start at 4pm on Sunday  in order for everyone to have time to arrive and settle in, and we work through until Thursday evening, with departure after breakfast on Friday.

All meals are included in the price, as well as tuition, accommodation in single occupancy en suite rooms, and teas and coffees are on hand throughout the day in our designated studio space for the course duration.  Extra nights prior to or after the course are payable separately but can be arranged if you wish.

Course price is £1090 per person which includes the deposit of £200 payable on booking.
